Deep Roots Market is your truly local, community-owned, full-service grocery and health food market, serving Greensboro, North Carolina, and its surrounding communities since 1976.

We carry a wide selection of grocery & household items, fresh produce, meat & seafood, beer & wine, deli & bakery, bulk foods, coffee, herbs & tea, vitamins & supplements, personal care products, and much more, all with a focus on local, natural, organic, clean, fair-trade, ethically, and sustainably produced products.

We are a co-operative, which means we are completely owned by our shoppers, community members, and anyone else who wishes to support the Co-op by purchasing an Ownership Share. It also means we aren’t driven by profits for corporate investors. We exist to serve the needs of our Member-Owners and invest our profits back into their store and their community.
