Grietje’s Garden of Rocky Ridge Farm

Reid and Penny Ledbetter have lived on Rocky Ridge Farm since 1983. From cutover timberland by the previous owner, Reid worked to build a farm area while Penny taught school, gardened, and together reared 3 sons. In 2005-2006, Penny etched out 3 acres of the farm for muscadine/scuppernong vines and blueberries to make Grietje’s Garden of Rocky Ridge Farm named after her great-grandmother from Holland. Reid raises Jersey heifers, maintains beehives, and teaches. The farm has a small event venue suitable for bridal and baby showers, workshops, and seminars. It is an alcohol free venue.
