Middle Sound Mariculture

Middle Sound Mariculture is a family owned shellfish mariculture operation located in Wilmington, NC. We currently farm oysters at three locations in southeastern NC, Masonboro Sound, Topsail Sound, and Stump Sound. Our mission is to sustainably produce top quality NC shellfish. The company was founded by two brothers in 2016 and produced its first crop of oysters in the fall of 2018 and our current annual production is just shy of half a million oysters and clams.
