Mount Gilead Farm

Mount Gilead Farm is a family-owned farm in the mountains of western North Carolina, only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. Step into—not back into—a working farm populated by dairy and meat goats and their kids, along with the related enterprises of heritage chickens, rabbits, turkeys and pigs.

You can stay on our farm, and depending on the season, you can play with baby goats, watch goats being milked and cheese being made, harvest asparagus and strawberries, see what is involved in making hay, or gather peaches, apples and pears. Many of these things are also available for purchase at our farm store.
