Murphy River Walk & Canoe Trails

Since it began conception in 2002, the River Walk has seen the successful completion of all phases of the basic trail construction between Konehete Park and the Old L&N Depot, and now includes the Confluence Loop and Canoe Trails. In 2018 we completed the final phase, extending the River Walk from the Valley River bridge to Bull Dog Drive. This is a beautiful section, winding through wooded areas and stands of river cane. The trail is now 2 miles from end to end. The volunteer project team has undertaken a host of ongoing and future maintenance, landscaping, and interpretive and directional signage, and school class projects on the trail.
