The Community Farm at Chestnut Ridge

Our 20-acre farm operates within Chestnut Ridge Camp & Retreat Center, where we manage a year-round community garden and provide programming for the camp’s after-school, preschool, homeschool, summer camp and retreat programs.

We also host seasonal events, including a pumpkin patch, Pollinator Day, Midsummer Festival and Mother’s Day picnics. Most of our produce goes home with community gardeners, and any excess supports our camp kitchen. We also produce eggs and meat for the kitchen.

We are working to develop a program focused on creating more accessible garden beds to better serve visitors and volunteers with mobility challenges, including those who use wheelchairs or would benefit from seating. We hope to expand our public outreach with workshops and additional events in the near future.
