Western NC Farmers Market

This market is conveniently near downtown Asheville, N.C. We are on a thirty-six-acre site with a beautiful view of the mountains and Biltmore Estate. The market was first opened in 1977 and is now open all year round, seven days a week. The public is invited to come and enjoy the atmosphere and character of the mountains. Admission is FREE. Our retail area features displays of high quality fruits and vegetables, mountain crafts, jams, jellies, preserves, sourwood honey, fresh baked breads, cookies and dozens of other farm fresh items. Inside you will also find a deli that offers sandwiches and ice cream. Our wholesale areas include open air drive through truck sheds, one featuring only NC grown fresh produce. We have three large wholesale distributors on Market property. Our Market full-service restaurant is The Moose Café offering Southern farm-to-table cooking. Jesse Israel & Sons Garden Center provides garden supplies and a variety of plants and flowers.
