Boxcarr crafts 13 cheeses made from cow and goat milk and are available through their online store, as well as local restaurants and shops. They are also a vendor at the Mebane Farmers’ Market.

Brown Creek Creamery is a business that turned Jeff Poplin’s dream into a reality. With years of dairyman experience, Jeff’s love of cows led him to the purchase of milking equipment. With the acquisition of a registered Jersey herd in 2013, Jeff could begin doing what he loved. There was one rather large problem that needed attention…..what was he supposed to do with all the milk? One of only five active Water Buffalo dairies in the United States, Fading D Farm is a family owned farmstead dairy making products from our own Water Buffalo in Rowan County. Farming since 2013, we craft Mozzarella di Bufala, Water Buffalo milk butter, and Water Buffalo milk Gelato at our on farm creamery. We also carry lean, grass fed, Water Buffalo meat products.

A North Carolina Bicentennial Farm, our focus is responsible, sustainable stewardship in a multi-species, pasture-based regenerative agriculture system. We offer poultry, pork, lamb, and a variety of related products, including raw wool and goat milk soaps from our flocks and herds, pelts, vintage farm items and memorabilia, and other local, artisanal items from area potters and craftspeople. Numerous opportunities to visit the farm provide something for all ages, and our weekly Saturday farmer’s market often includes visiting vendors and food trucks.
